Summertime Weather at Last!

We finally had some nice weather this past weekend and took advantage of it! Our friend Todd from Wyoming was visiting for the weekend, and we had friends Evan and Megan down for a little get together Friday night, then Evan came back Saturday for a cookout, and he brought little Mr. Weenie with him! What a cutie! Walter was pretty excited when they first arrived, but he was very good and they played together with Walter only stepping on him a few times. Here they are enjoying the beautiful weather and rolling in the grass.

Darci loved Mr. Weenie, too, of course! She followed him around quite a bit and played sticks with him. Now that summer weather is here I had to get out this new outfit from Grandma Burns. She loved the ribbons hanging on the front and all the sequins! Here she is playing with the dogs:

Doug grilled some great BBQ chicken thighs, onions, and the best grilled sweet corn he's ever made. It was about 80 degrees and we all had to stay in the shade. We got a spray-on sunscreen for Darci and that stuff works great! It's so easy to put on her (and on us) and she hasn't had any sunburns yet. She is getting pretty tan, though.
